State Plan for Child Sexual Abuse Prevention

In 2024, FACT hired a consultant to create a state plan, in partnership with the FACT Child Abuse & Neglect Advisory Committee, for the prevention of child sexual assault.

When used in conjunction with The National Plan to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, Virginia’s Plan is intended to be used as a preliminary, informative guide for policy makers and advocates to address child safety and wellbeing challenges through a state-based framework – representing the first step in a unified position on child sexual abuse prevention efforts across state partners.
