In February 2025, FACT of Virginia released the Foundational State Plan for Preventing Child Sexual Abuse in Virginia: A Preliminary Framework for Collaboration. As an extension of this plan FACT has established a grant program for Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) to support evidence informed and promising practices at the local level for the prevention of child sexual abuse.
A budget of $100,000 has been made available for 10 awards of $10,000 to be made for the support of prevention programing at CACs across Virginia.
