Family Violence Indicator: Programs Providing Shelter from Domestic Violence

This indicator reflects the distribution of domestic violence centers across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Source: Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Data Collection System

Notes:

This indicator is a mapping of Virginia Action Alliance member programs that provide victims of domestic violence with emergency shelter, whether in a formal shelter or by arranging for emergency housing in motels or other locations. A dot is placed on the map for each program location to indicate the distribution of such resources across the state. The weight of the dot corresponds to the number of programs serving that area. Mouse over the dot and you can see a list of the programs serving that area. Below the map is a table with the contact information for each program.
